Procedure of Quantitative Surveys
The questionnaire of quantitative survey involves questions that cover all the issues highlighted in the framework of the project. The duration of a questionnaire is 15 to 30 minutes. IPSC is capable and has corresponding possibilities to realize a pan-national survey with 1200-4200 sampling during 5-9 days. During sampling socioeconomic, geo-political, and urban data is considered. The implemented methodology and sampling strategy allows calculating results of any-level survey (pan-national, Yerevan, communities, etc) with up to 97% level of confidence, with the marginal error of 3%!
Field Workers
IPSC has around 50 field workers. All of them apply various sociological methods and necessarily participate in regular trainings. Apart from professional background, age and gender balance is kept. Interviewers are aged between 20 and 34. According to the topic and methodological peculiarities of each survey corresponding field workers are selected.
Data Coding and Input
Data coding and input is being realized by conveyor principle. After the fieldwork is done, the data coding and input is managed during 2-3 days. While these procedures Excels, SPSS, Statistics programs are used. Special software package for the company is being developed, to ensure quality control of data input as well as unification of these two processes. Moreover, the organization has enough experience and skills in data processing and analyzing. Methods such as cut and paste, main concept distinguishing, and others are being used.
